The Power of Shoes

Shoes may be considered an accessory in a wardrobe, but they can be used to change an outfit entirely. This is why I like so much having them as part of my wardrobe on a trip, and why I work to choose them as carefully as possible, especially when I am traveling.

The two pairs pictured here can be worn with a number of outfits, especially neutrals like beige or black. As a pianist I have to always make sure that I “road test” my shoes, which means that no matter how much I like them, or how attractive they are, I have to be able to both walk well in them, and also be able to use them to work the piano pedals.

The black and white pair were designed by Betsy Johnson, and the green ones by Issey Miyake.
