All Day Practicing (April 21, 2025)
For me there is nothing more important than practicing as much as possible every day. Everything I do has to be worked around it, especially since I am having a recital in just a few weeks. When I am in my apartment with my mother I use a keyboard, after which I go to Mr. Buono’s apartment and practice there. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to practice so much of the day.
Today it was a little cold and there was not much sunshine. I ate a lot of fruit, which always makes me happy. Grapes, apples, and strawberries were on the menu today, along with “Pink Lady” apples, which I love, and I don’t think there is a variety of them in Japan.
I also started preparing the scores for some cello and piano concertos, Beethoven's Op. 5 and Saint-Saëns' The Swan just so that I can become familiar with them. A lot of preparation increases my confidence.
