What you'll find below is a curated downloadable collection of my most-read blog entries, organized by the themes and audiences I write for most. Whether you've followed this journey from the beginning or are just discovering it now, these booklets are my way of inviting you further inside — the preparation, the music, the composers who inspire me, the fashion, the places, and the small, unexpected moments that shape how I think and play. I hope something here speaks to you.

FOR EMERGING CLASSICAL MUSICIANS AND MUSIC TEACHERS

Road to Carnegie Hall

This booklet traces the inner and outer journey toward a defining artistic moment. It moves between two intertwined worlds: the long arc of anticipation leading to a debut recital, and the intimate, daily work that makes such a moment possible.

In Countdown, the perspective widens to capture time itself — the emotional landscape of preparation, the uncertainty, the pressure, and the quiet persistence required to move steadily toward a single night of consequence. In Practice, the focus narrows to the granular — the hours at the piano where interpretation is shaped, questions are confronted, and music slowly comes to life through disciplined attention and discovery.

Together, these pages reveal that a performance is never just the event the audience sees. It is the accumulation of thought, doubt, repetition, guidance, and small breakthroughs. What unfolds here is not a retrospective narrative polished by success, but a living record of becoming — an honest portrait of a young artist learning, in real time, what it means to prepare not only to perform, but to understand.

Echoes of Genius: Stories Behind Great Composers

In addition to music, another form of expression that has always been very meaningful to me is fashion. While it may at first seem separate from the world of performance, I have come to feel that what we wear is deeply connected to how we express ourselves, both artistically and personally.

Clothing, for me, is not simply something we put on each day. It is a reflection of mood, character, and intention, and in many ways, it can be thought of as a kind of wearable art. Just as composers use notes, harmony, and structure to communicate emotion, designers use fabric, color, and silhouette to create something that speaks without words.

Through the experiences I have been fortunate to have—whether in preparing for performances, collaborating with designers, or simply choosing what to wear in my daily practice—I have come to appreciate not only the beauty of clothing, but also the extraordinary level of thought, care, and craftsmanship behind it. In the entries that follow, I would like to share some of these experiences, as well as my thoughts on the role fashion plays in my life. It is my hope that, in doing so, I can offer a glimpse into the creative process behind what we wear, and perhaps inspire a deeper appreciation for the artistry that surrounds us each day.I have found that immersing myself, even briefly, in different cultures and environments allows me to connect more deeply with the composers whose works I study. Their worlds begin to feel more vivid and tangible, and the music itself takes on new life. In the entries that follow, I would like to share some of these moments—small journeys, everyday discoveries, and special experiences that have brought inspiration, joy, and a deeper sense of connection to both life and music.

Explorations in Taste, Style, and Place

FOR TRAVELERS & CULTURALLY CURIOUS MUSIC LOVERS

As I continue my musical journey, I have come to realize that inspiration often reveals itself in the most unexpected places. While many hours are spent at the piano, refining technique and deepening interpretation, there are also moments away from it that quietly shape my understanding of music in equally meaningful ways. Whether through traveling to a new neighborhood, discovering a particular dish, or choosing what to wear for a special occasion, these experiences offer new perspectives and awaken different senses. The rhythm of a language, the atmosphere of a café, the colors and textures of clothing, or even the taste of something unfamiliar can all influence how I feel—and in turn, how I express music.

I have found that immersing myself, even briefly, in different cultures and environments allows me to connect more deeply with the composers whose works I study. FOR STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND CLASSICAL MUSIC FANS DISCOVERING WOMEN IN CLASSICAL MUSIC

Celebrating Women Musicians: Past & Present

Throughout the history of classical music, there are many musicians whose names have become deeply familiar to us. Yet alongside them are others—equally gifted—whose voices have not always been heard as widely as they deserve. Among these are a remarkable number of women whose contributions to music are only now beginning to receive the recognition they so richly merit

In learning about these composers, I have found not only extraordinary music, but also deeply compelling personal stories. Many of these women created their works under challenging circumstances, often navigating societal expectations that made it difficult to pursue their artistic ambitions fully. And yet, despite these limitations, they composed with sincerity, imagination, and great dedication

I have been especially drawn to the life and work of Fanny Mendelssohn, whose story appears in several of the entries that follow. The more I learn about her, the more I am struck not only by her musical gifts, but also by the complexity of her character and the quiet determination with which she continued to create.

It is my hope that these reflections will help bring greater attention to these composers and their music, and perhaps inspire others, as they have inspired me, to explore their works more deeply and to appreciate the richness they add to the world of classical music.
