Oh What a Night! Part Two—The Concert (June 10, 2025)

From left to right: With Celeste Siciliano and Philip Phillips; walking to the piano to play my first solo piece; at the reception with Celeste Siciliano and Mr. Cosmo; at the piano for one of my solo pieces.

I have to say that the concert at CCF was one of the best performance experiences I have had in my career so far. There were many new challenges such as learning how to work with singers, but everything associated with the evening really helped me to grow as a musician.

At the rehearsal the day before I still had not decided what I was going to wear. I asked Ms. Siciliano what she had chosen, and she showed me a photo of a dark red gown that was heavily beaded.  It was then that I knew I would wear the sequined gown I bought recently here in New York.  I like very much the idea that visually we complemented each other onstage, even to the point where we both decided to add something to our hair, which was something we had not planned.

We both also decided to change our gowns for the dinner, which was nice.  When we came into the dining room everyone applauded us before we sat down, which made me very happy, and seemed like something almost out of a movie. I wore the blue lace gown with the beige underskirt, and she wore a dark red metallic sheath, which was not as full as the gown she wore for the performance.

One of the many things that helped everyone enjoy the concert even more was that Mr. Cosmo and Mr. Alexander explained the music to the audience, giving them a history of the works and a full explanation of what they were about to hear.

Following the concert there was a dinner, and everyone had a wonderful time.  Everything about the evening felt very magical, and I could not have been happier!
