Carnegie Hall and Beyond! (August 4, 2025)

From left to right: Beatrice Rana Performs an excerpt from Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the New York Philharmonic; Daniil Trifonov in a performance of the Liszt Gnomenreigen; Liszt transcription of Schubert’s Auf dem Wasser zu singen played by Evgeny Kissin; Olga Kern plays Rachmaninoff’s transcription of the Kreisler Liebesleid

I recently Googled “Who are the pianists performing at Carnegie Hall for the 2025-2026 season” and the following page came up on their website: https://www.carnegiehall.org/Subscribe/Curated-Series/Pianists

What an array of incredible artists! Their first Keyboard Virtuoso Series includes recitals by Beatrice Rana, Daniil Trifonov, Igor Levit, Mao Fujita, and Yunchan Lim.

As if that were not enough, Series II offers recitals by Hayato Sumino, Bruce Liu, Alexandre Kantorow, and Evgeny Kissin.

Still, that doesn’t cover all of the great pianists that are scheduled to be a part of the season. Other performers include Olga Kern and Lang Lang!

As I think about the fact that I will also be performing at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, May 3, 2026, not as part of these series, but still making my solo debut there, I am very pleased to see my dream is coming true. I would like very much to also be a pianist who plays around the world in famous concert halls and with celebrated orchestras like those listed above. I know that there is still a lot of work ahead of me, but every year of my career is better than the last.

For pianists like me everywhere who dream of having career as a concert artist, seeing a list like this is very inspiring.  It gives me hope that all of the work I am doing now will someday lead to the type of career I want to have, and also affirms that it is possible.

The key is to keep working and to never give up. I am already visualizing my name as being part of the Keyboard Virtuoso Series at Carnegie Hall one day.

Great careers do not happen overnight. They are created one day at a time.
